Social Media Platforms Want Acitivity to Appear in Google Search Results In the spring of 2009 Twitter modified the social media platform to improve search engine visibility on Google, the search engine that continus to dominates search engine activity. Why should Twitter and You Care About Google Search? According to Comscore, Google generates approximately 67% of all search engine activity.
